Baffle Creek , Bundaberg Queensland Australia, Oil Painting by Chris Hobel

Baffle Creek Oil Painting by Chris Hobel

This is a small oil painting on board and measures about 8x10 inches,
very small for me. Im doing a John Wilson Master Class in a few weeks at the Kenilworth Arts Festival and thought I should get back into the oils.
I mostly paint in Acrylics but love oils too, especially in the warm weather.I dont feel as rushed as I do painting with acrylics.
email me if you would like to purchase
Below is the photo I used to work from in my studio
Baffle Creek is a relatively unknown place north of Bundberg in Queenland Australia. My oils are very realistic in style
Comments appreciated

Published Project, Free to Fly by Chris Hobel using Masking Fluid

As seen in the Latest Fine Art and Decorative Painting Magazine, "Free to Fly"  Vol16 #11 published by Express Publications
It is done with  Atelier Interactive Acrylics  using Transparent Colours on Canvas, but looks like watercolour. Today I have just finished another article on masking fluid , it is really fun to use as there are many unexpected results
