The distant headland  is painted  lighter and cooler  than the closer hill using White plus cobalt and  a little rose madder highlighted  trees by a grey green made with  the additon of Yellow Ocre  to the mixture creating atmosperic perspective. The haziness of the moisture particles created by the breaking waves is shown  by the mistiness in the distance
