This is the next step in the painting from the previous post. I allowed the painting to dry to keep clean colour.The purple hills, darks and foliage are  added and a few  highlights. The scene is set for the poppies in the next stage

Acrylic Palette Knife Painting
This is the first step of my palette knife painting of Tuscany shown in the previous blog using Aetelier Acrylics,

the basic shapes are blocked in medium valued muted colours, I allow this to dry before continuing to reduce the muddying effect caused by overmixing colours . .

I really enjoy painting these with the palette knife , the paint is so thick it takes some time to dry so you can blend directly on the painting.
