Sunrise Beach Queensland Australia Photo Mosaic by Noosa Artist Chris Hobel

This cool Mosaic is made with Big Huge Labs Mosaic maker. I followed the instructions on a good blog    called little red school house which has great photos I follow. You need to have a flikr account  and be patient. As I said on my previous post, I have plenty of time to do this with my feet up. All these photos were taken by myself in my local area.  The centre one is  Sunrise  at Sunrise taken a few months back.Very inspiring, now you know Why I love where I live. Ive just spotted one of my paintings up there, here is a link to an earlier post showing it, see if you can guess which one/ones?

Ive added more highlights and used some Red Gold plus White for this.A Lover of colour, Ive pushed the brights. My new camera  is 14 mega pixels but I preferred the colour from my old camera, this one seems to burn out the lights and I have to  do extra processing to try to portray the real thing.

Seeing simply sounds so easy, but our brain constantly wants to concentrate on the detail, with a small canvas it leaves less space for detail so choosing a small format helps to eliminate the inclination to do this.  Give it a try... Ive tried to capture the soft filtered light by using greyed greens and blues for the distant hills, strong warm greens and yellows in the foreground to create perspective

Today I delivered my 6 paintings for exhibition at the Pomona

,a small country town in the hinterland of Noosa where each year on the 12 and 13 Sept,

 the show is held .The organisers today told me that 75% of exhibitors this year are new.

This does not surprise me as there are very few outlets for local artists to show their work at a reasonable price

.Many gift shops and galleries  have closed down during the past two years leaving many talented artsits with nowhere to show their work.

 Please support your local show or visit if you are in the area, a very beautiful part of the world.
